This is likely the last complex piece I'll make in 2012 -- another in the fall palette.

Size 13 charlottes make the bulk of the neckpiece and embellishment of the pendant. I've included some gf beads, but the real draw is the garnets -- smooth on the pendant, and hand-facted on the neckpiece. The dangle is an amber-colored coin pearl I've been saving for just such an occasion!

The pendant measures just under 2 inches from the lowest to highest point (2 1/2 including the dangle), and 2 1/2 inches from side to side. The total length is almost 21 inches.

Smoke & Fire

It's getting to be field burning time in the Willamette Valley. This piece reminded me of the brown (and dangerous) smoke of the late summer here.

The embellishment and neckpiece are of size 13 cabochons (both glass and gold-plated), plus Swarovski crystals; there are 3 gf beads on the pendant as well.

The pendant measures 2 1/4 inches from the lowest to highest point, and 1 1/2 inches from side to side. The total length is just over 21 inches.

Amber Waves of Grain

This will be the first of many in this color -- I hope this Autumn palate doesn't mean that summer is nearly over!

The amber of the title is literal: in addition to the gold  beads and Swarovski crystals, I've added several amber chips to the pendant and to the neckpiece.

Waves

This pendant has a little bit of everything from my workbench; interesting cabs, charlottes and bugle beads for texture, Swarovski crystals, of  course and handmade turquoise beads.

Cosmos

Thanks to a friend for naming this one. The iridescent cabochons reminded her of looking into the night sky. 

This is a fairly simple treatment, using sterling silver beads along with the Swarovski crystals. The neckpiece is very simply two twisted strands of size 13 charlottes; one in  grey aurora borealis finish, the other sterling silver plated glass.

The pendant measures 2 1/4 inches from the lowest to highest point, and 1 1/2 inches from side to side. The total length is about 18 inches.

Rood

This  is a  piece I will never be able to duplicate.  Perfect symmetry is not usually something I strive for, but in this case, I am pleased with the outcome. The only adornment, other that the purple iris size  13 charlottes, are the 7  round amethyst beads.

The pendant measures 2 inches from the lowest to highest point, and 1 3/4 inches from side to side. The total length is about 16 inches.

Green Fairy

This fairy figure needs only a few charlottes to enhance her beauty: 14k gold-plated, and green,with an aurora borealis finish. I've also included 14k round beads in the starburst; the neckpiece  features glass coins and "peridot" jasper beads.

The pendant measures 1 7/8 inches from the lowest to highest point, and 1 3/4 inches from side to side. The total length is 21 inches.
